The Occasional Solipsist

Being an occasional solipsist means only having to be a team player when you feel like it.

All right. So its been a few weeks. Here's the skinny: I finished school 2 weeks ago today. Yay ! I am now a bona fide(?) webmaster. My business name (lionelweb) is registered, I've got the business cards all printed off and I actually have a paying job that I'm working on, although when I actually get to see the money from it remains to be seen.

I am loving my current status as a work-from-home person. I could probably use more in the work department, but that'll come. Before long I'll be whining about being overworked, just like you and everybody else.

Hopefully.

I am filling my days alternately playing some games on my pc (just finished Enter the Matrix), reading a great book (working on 'Pale Blue Dot' by Carl Sagan), practising yoga (loving padmasana lately), and when I have some free time I've been getting some work done. :)

I've been feeling a little solipsistic lately; might have something to do with my fascination of the Matrix lately. Might have to do with just having watched The Truman Show. Is it paranoid to feel like you're constantly being scrutinized, or is it just me ?

Either way, subscribing to solipsism is surprisingly liberating. Since nothing outside of my experience can be proven to me to be real, I can believe whatever the hell I want, since its just me here.

Btw, the final installment of the Matrix trilogy is out this Wednesday and I'm so there.

Time to regenerate. Here's to hoping that I get just enough work to avoid getting a real job in the near future.
