The Occasional Solipsist

Being an occasional solipsist means only having to be a team player when you feel like it.

So here is my first blog to coincide with the new look for the site. And if you're wondering where the last six months went, I lost a whole pile of entries when I dumped my online blog account, so like Mulder, you'll just have to learn to deal with all of that 'missing time'. What I managed to save can be found by going through my Archives.

Here's the recap on the stuff that you're missing out on: I built a few web sites, I got a job in March working for an up and coming search engine company in NOTL. I worked there for four months and got laid off two weeks ago tomorrow when the company went tits up. That about summarizes things.

I'm sure I also did some unbelievably exciting things other than work during that same timeframe, but who wants to read about that?

I did see Sting last week in TO and it was just awesome. Annie Lennox opened for him, and she was a lot more impressive than I thought she'd be. I mean, unlike Dave McIntyre, I don't happen to believe that she has the best voice in the world, but I'll agree that she's very good. No Sarah Harmer, mind you.

Anywho: Sting. What can you say about a show like that? His second song was Synchronicity II and that just about blew me away. The rest of the show just got better from there. And I realized something about halfway through the show, and mentioned it to Superwife: That was the very first concert I've ever been to straight. ie Not high out of my gourd. Well, at least I'll remember this one.

One thing I do want in here is that a buddy of mine and I have started a web design business called 8i Design. So from here on out, lionelweb.ca is strictly a playground for me. I'll post blog entries, upload links, whatever, but if its work related, head over to our other site.

That oughta do for an update, heh?
